Playzy personal account
Configure playlists on the website. Watch anywhere.
Use the website to prepare and organize content, then watch it in Playzy on Windows, Android, or Android TV.
How it works
- 1Add a playlist source.
- 2Create a playlist view.
- 3Organize groups and channels in the editor.
- 4Sign in to Playzy and open the prepared playlist.
Overview
The personal account is Playzy’s management center. Add a playlist source, organize groups and channels, configure access for additional users, and then open the prepared playlist on Windows, Android, or Android TV.
Sources
A source is a playlist URL from which Playzy receives groups and channels. The administrator can add, edit, refresh, and remove sources.
- Open Sources and select Add source.
- Enter a name and paste the playlist URL.
- Save the source and wait for the initial update.
- The URL must start with http:// or https://.
- If a provider gives you a new link, edit the existing source instead of deleting it.
- Deleting a source also removes its related playlist views from the working account.
Playlist views
A playlist view is a configured version of source data. It lets you organize groups and channels without changing the source URL.
- Open Playlists and select Create view.
- Choose a ready source and enter a view name.
- Choose whether new channels should be added automatically.
- Optionally set the default group for new channels.
- The administrator can change the name, automatic channel addition, default group, and editing permission.
- Additional users cannot create, delete, or configure playlist views.
Playlist editor
Open a view and enter the editor to organize its groups and channels. Changes apply to that view and are then available to Playzy clients.
- Select a group and put groups in the required order.
- Select one or more channels and move them to the appropriate group.
- Rename or remove items, then preview important channels.
- Groups: create, rename, reorder, delete, and restore from Trash.
- Channels: select one or more, rename, reorder, move between groups, delete, and preview.
- Renaming changes the displayed name. It does not repair a stream URL or change the source.
Trash
Groups and channels deleted from the editor are moved to Trash. You can restore a group or restore selected channels to an existing group.
- Check the order after restoring items.
- Editor Trash does not restore a deleted source or playlist view.
Users and access
The administrator can create up to two additional users. Each user has an email for sign-in, a password, and a display name.
- Create the additional user in the Users section.
- Choose the playlist views they can access.
- Enable editing for a view if the user should organize its groups and channels.
- Access is assigned to a whole view, not to an individual group or channel.
- Only the administrator can manage sources, view settings, users, and permissions.
Sync with Playzy apps
After configuring the account, sign in to Playzy on the required device with the appropriate email. The administrator sees their views, while an additional user sees only the views assigned to them.
- Check which email is signed in if changes are missing.
- Confirm that the view is assigned to the user.
- Refresh the playlist list or reopen the playlist section.
- Sources and playlist views are stored in the account.
- Local EPG, logo caches, and device-specific settings are not account data to rely on as synchronized.
Preview and HTTP/HTTPS
Preview uses the URL of the selected channel. A source may load successfully while an individual channel still cannot play.
- When the website is opened over HTTPS, an HTTP stream may be blocked by the browser as mixed content.
- An HTTPS channel URL is preferred. Windows, Android, and Android TV may behave differently.
- The account does not currently provide a proxy that converts HTTP streams to HTTPS.
Troubleshooting
Many playback problems are caused by the source or a particular stream rather than by the editor.
- Source cannot be added: check the name, URL, protocol, and source limit.
- Source has no channels: wait for the update, check import status, and verify the URL.
- Channel does not play: check the channel URL, HTTPS, stream format, and browser support.
- Editing is unavailable: check the user role and the view editing permission.
Important preview note
HTTP streams may be blocked by the browser when the website is opened over HTTPS. Use an HTTPS channel URL for preview.
